Bridging Gaps. Building Belonging.

Spokane Disability Collaborative Steering Committee
The Spokane Disability Collaborative is a group of community partners working side by side.
Our coalition is led by professionals, many of whom are also parents with lived experience, which makes our commitment both professional and deeply personal.
Together, we bring compassion, understanding, and shared experience to the families we serve. By joining forces, we have created a strong network of knowledge and resources that makes it easier for families to find support. Each organization contributes unique strengths, and together, we offer guidance that helps families feel connected and understood.
The collaborative began as a way to bridge gaps and break down silos between services. Out of this effort grew the Family Support Conference and the Disability Pop-Up events, which have become welcoming spaces where families can learn, connect with others, and discover resources that help their children thrive.
Our Mission
To support children with disabilities and their families in Spokane County by building
coordinated, compassionate, and accessible connections across systems, services, and community resources.
Collaboration
We believe families are best supported when organizations, professionals, and parents work together.
Compassion
Many of us are parents ourselves, bringing lived experience alongside professional expertise.
Equity
Every family deserves access to support, resources, and opportunities to thrive.
Belonging
We strive to create spaces where families feel seen, heard, and valued.
